Island Adventure at WildPlay 

This summer, IKCA families gathered for an exciting day of outdoor fun at WildPlay Nanaimo and Victoria. With a strong turnout and plenty of community spirit, families of all ages challenged themselves on treetop obstacle courses surrounded by the shade and beauty of the forest.

The course offered a thrilling mix of ziplines, rope swings, tightropes, and wobbly bridges that gradually increased in height and difficulty. Some participants pushed themselves by tackling the Extreme Course, while two adventurous teens amazed the crowd with a daring 150-foot Bungy Jump! Younger participants had a great time on the Kids Course, showing impressive teamwork and growing confidence as they navigated the course up to 15 feet in the air. 

Whether it was a return visit or a first-time experience, the day offered everyone a chance to conquer fears, build connections, and have fun in a supportive and adventurous environment.

After the action, families gathered around picnic tables to enjoy snacks and drinks provided by IKCA for some much-needed refreshments and a chance to reflect on the day’s excitement.
