This summer marked a special first for Island Kids Cancer Association as we were thrilled to offer IKCA families in the Nanaimo area the opportunity to attend Nanaimo NightOwls baseball games, thanks to a thoughtful collaboration between the Nanaimo NightOwls and Victoria HarbourCats organizations.

Over the course of three games in June and July, eight families were able to enjoy an evening at the ballpark, creating lasting memories and connecting through a classic summer pastime. The Canada Day game, complete with a dazzling fireworks finale, was a definite fan favorite!

We’re incredibly grateful to the Nanaimo NightOwls and everyone involved in making this new outing possible. Expanding our reach across Vancouver Island in meaningful and family-centered ways like this is so important and we’re excited to continue building community connections in the region.
